What to expect as a New Patient:
Prior to receiving any chiropractic care, all new patients will complete New Patient Packets. We recommend that you print off and complete the New Patient Packet before arrival to your first visit to save you time. If you have insurance, please make sure our staff has your insurance information so we can verify your benefits. It is extremely helpful to have benefit status prior to your initial visit, so, if possible, please contact our office anytime during business hours to relay that information. If you can’t, no worries! Just arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time. Click on the New Patient Forms for a link to the documents.
Step 1: New Patient Intake - The intake is designed to gather pertinent information to direct chiropractic care. All new patients are required to complete our New Patient Packet. This allows us to better understand your medical history, verify your insurance, and create a financial plan.
Step 2: One-On-One Consultation - During the initial consultation, all new patients will have the opportunity to meet with Dr. Christensen and discuss health concerns, history, goals, and how chiropractic can help. Any additional questions you may have about the office will also be answered.
Step 3: New Patient Exam - The new patient exam consists of: Motion X-Rays, MyoVision Nerve Scan, Spinal Palpitation, and a Full Spinal Exam. X-Rays give us great detail about the current health of your spine. Myovision Nerve Scan gives a more in-depth look at which nerves are firing and the severity of the firing on your body, as well as muscle tone and muscle balance. Spinal palpation includes a brief exam by the doctor to get an exact feel where your spine is subluxated. The full spinal exam will gather necessary information regarding your spinal health. All this is designed to check your bones, muscles, ligaments, tendons, nerves, and overall health of each joint. This will identify what areas need healing, thus helping you reach your ultimate health optimization.
Step 4: Report of Findings - The Report of Findings is a meeting between you and Dr. Christensen to discuss clinical views regarding your health. Dr. Christensen will explain to you in detail what was found in the new patient exam and will also give you your personalized health care plan.
Step 5: Financial Consultation - We are dedicated to help our patients receive chiropractic care, insomuch that we will create a financial plan that works with you. It does not matter whether you have health insurance, you are a self-pay client, or you are using the $3,000 Personal Injury Protection (PIP) you are entitled to if you have been in an auto accident, we will work together to establish a solid financial plan.
Step 6: Optimize your Life!
